A few years back, “learning to code” was the mantra for success. Everyone was rushing to coding classes, believing it was the only way to stay ahead. But the landscape has shifted dramatically in just a few years.

🟢 Let’s take a step back: Why did we code in the first place?
Coding was the way we communicated with computers. Programmers were the bridge—they wrote the instructions machines could understand. Over time, we built better tools and languages to make this process faster and more efficient.

And now, hashtag#AI has changed the game.

AI tools can take natural language inputs and translate them into code. For the first time, we can interact with machines without needing to write the code ourselves. This doesn’t mean coding is obsolete—but it has become much easier and faster in many scenarios.

In my own experience, I’ve used AI tools to translate product ideas into functional code by refining simple prompts. What used to take weeks now takes hours. I can instantly see results, fine-tune them, and build prototypes faster than ever before.

🟢 But does this mean programmers are becoming redundant?
Not yet—and not for a while. AI tools still need human expertise to validate, debug, and integrate code, especially in complex enterprise environments where customizations and legacy systems play a huge role. AI doesn’t fully replace coding; it accelerates it.

What will change, however, is how programmers work.

I see a future where many talented developers evolve into roles like “hashtag#AIProductManagers.” These roles will combine their technical skills with product vision. They’ll optimize AI prompts to meet product and architecture needs while ensuring the generated code aligns with broader business goals.

🎯 So, what should we focus on?
Learn how to build products. It’s no longer just about coding. It’s about solving real problems, designing impactful solutions, and leveraging tools—AI included—to make it happen.

To reiterate the point – this transformation won’t happen overnight, but it’s already underway.
