I am glad to hear this news. Over the past year or 2 I have been actively connecting with students through college events and talks to drive home the point on how quickly AI is changing the landscape.
🎯All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced 2025 as the “Year of Artificial Intelligence.”
This move is aimed at making India a leader in AI education and innovation. The initiative will impact over 14,000 colleges and 40 million students across India.
Here’s what AICTE plans to do:
⚙️Update Courses: Colleges will include AI topics in their curriculum to help students gain job-ready skills.
⚙️Train Teachers: Workshops and certifications will prepare faculty to teach AI effectively.
⚙️Real-World Exposure: Partnerships with companies like Adobe, Cisco, and IBM will give students hands-on experience through internships and projects.
⚙️Raise Awareness: AI awareness campaigns will help students and teachers understand its potential.
⚙️Recognize Top Institutions: Colleges that excel in implementing AI will be awarded and set as benchmarks for others.
This is a good move by AICTE to prepare students for the future. I strongly believe that by focusing on AI, India can build a strong workforce and become a global leader in this field.
I hope that they are also looking at opportunities for students to interact with industry leaders. There is nothing better than getting a perspective directly from industry leaders
